5 News Outlets

1. BuzzFeed

I love BuzzFeed, because it puts news into a fun format and also puts some fun videos in to make it feel less like an intense news feed. It gives a wide variety of news, including international news, local, and just some random funny things from around the globe. One of my favorite things to do, and how I started to learn about buzzfeed was their Tasty videos. They are basically food videos that make your mouth water and make you extremely hungry for some good food. So it is a fun news hub with a mix of some interesting topics as well, and I highly recommend going and checking it out.

2. Twitter

Although I know that sometimes twitter is not the most reliable source all the time, I do get some information from other people around the world. There is even a spot where the most trending topics pop up and even some more celebrity type news is going on. I love this way to get news because it allows me to connect with other people around my age to see what everyone is thinking and how it impacts their lives.

3. Snapchat

I know this seems kinda off, but snapchat has partners from news sites that create small videos on news from all over the world. I love this type of news, because it is in video form and sometimes people can post their thoughts as small videos as well. For instance I have seen news about Hurricanes across the states, and I have seen Presidential Election information and videos from the debates. But on a more fun type of news, I have seen sports games whether it be college games, NFL games, or even the Olympics, and World Cup games from around the world. It is a great place to go if you missed things that were on the TV and you want a good recap of what happened. I highly recommend it for people who like to watch news rather than read it.

4. E-News

I usually watch E-News in order to catch up with some of my favorite celebrities. It is on television and has a good vibe to it that relates to people my age. Sometimes it is pointless news, but most of the time it is about celebrities and things such as drama between them, or celebrity marriages and babies. It is a great way to kind of find more about your favorite celebrities and maybe even see them get interviewed. For instance they are always at every awards red carpet, and I love to watch them interview all the celebrities that walk down and see what they are wearing, and talk about what they are nominated for and things like that. It makes me feel as if I am there with them.

5. As you can see from my first four I like more of the fun, fast, and convenient ways to get news. I am not the best news person, because I am not really into the political news or the harsh news because now a days their is so much drama no matter what side you are on. But I also feel like as I am 18 and have gone so far away from home, that I should start trying to adult and start getting into the more serious news hubs to get more involved. A few sites I believe I should start getting into would be The New York Times, and maybe even some of the BBC radio. I believe these are two huge news hubs that are known for reliable (most of the time) news stories that can help me can more into the news. Both have real stories that are both about the United states, but not limited to it and talk about world stories as well. I would like to start getting into these news hubs by maybe starting off reading one or two articles a week and then gradually increase that number as time goes on. I believe this will really help me form better opinions and help me be more informed on the current news.

I hope you enjoyed reading what places I like to go to get my current news stories. Do not forget to check back for more blog posts in the up coming weeks! :)
