My First Semester

I just finished my first semester of classes at High Point University. I can not explain how fast these four or so months. I came into college not knowing what was going to happen. I was scared and nervous to be so far away from home back in New Hampshire. I moved in and my semester has been filled with ups and downs. At first college classes took me a while to figure out. It also took me awhile to figure out how to manage my time, because its so much different than high school was. College classes are not all day everyday and I have classes for only a small amount of time of the day. Then I had to figure out when to eat and workout and all the routines. I also joined a sorority, so I had to spend time doing that and because I am a bio major, I became very busy really quick. I finally learned how to do that. I have also met so many people from all walks of life, that I would never have met in my life. New Hampshire I realize is not very diverse from other states including NC. So meeting those people and learning from them has been great experience. I did have some bad times though. I started to get homesick and feel like I had no one around. I missed home so much that I would face time my mom for at least an hour a day. After Thanksgiving break I started to feel better and that has helped me feel better here. Overall I am doing great in my classes and am excited to go home for break, but sad to leave all my friends for break. But I can't believe that this semester is already over and if college goes by this fast, then its going to fly by!
